The Wakeybus Project is a Project set up in partnership with Wakefield MDC, and our partners in the project are the British Red Cross, St Georges, Lupset and Joys Hall of South Kirby.
We provide low cost affordable transport to Community and the Voluntary Sector.

Prices for qualifying groups:
Mini bus with driver (per 4 hour period) £25.00 plus 40p per mile
Mini bus self drive (per 4 hour period) £20.00 plus 25p per mile.Providing nominated drivers are MIDAS trained.
Administration charge 10% up to £10,
Annual membership £20. Prices for statutory organisations on application.
Car Pool Service facilities available in selected areas at 55p per mile.

MiDAS (Minibus Driver Assessment Scheme)
MiDAS training is organised thorugh Re-Connect by their qualififed driver assessor trainer and is a programme developed to enhance the driving and passenger awareness skills of drivers.
Our one day course consists of class room based training which includes; the legal responsibilities of mini bus drivers, passenger safety, manual handling, Health and Safety awareness, Accident and Emergency procedures and personal safety. The course also includes a theory assessment and an on road drive assessment.
For your convenince courses can be arranged at your own premises.
MiDAS is organised by the Community Transport Association UK (CTA) who promote a nationally recognised standard for the assessment and training of mini bus drivers.
MiDAS is designed to make appropriate assessment training and accreditation available to minibus drivers from voluntary organisations as well as schools, colleges and Local Authorities.
